You might be leaving the stress of our always-on society behind when you stay at Hunter House Farm but you won't be stuck for things to do.
Enjoy a notification-free stay when you're here with us; our home is in a mobile network black spot so you can fully unwind without the beeps of your phone distracting you from some serious rest and relaxation.
In the meantime you can fill your days with relaxing wanders along the Pennine Way, horse riding, angling at your choice of two reservoirs within walking distance of the farm both of which you can buy licenses to fish some of the finest quality brown trout in the land between March and November.
The local reservoirs are wheelchair friendly and operated by Northumbrian Water who operate a shop at Grassholme Reservoir for all fishing and refreshment needs and have tracks circling. You'll often find other guests out for a stroll, or a jog.
If you're after something more sedentary there's plenty of wildlife to see, whether that's our own horses, dogs and chickens or the wildlife on the moors. If you like bird watching and are up early enough you might even catch sight of Barney, our resident owl swooping silently but majestically across our fields in search of his dinner!
You might be far from home but you'll never be short of something to keep you occupied!
